Priority Fund Raising Projects for
the College of Food, Agricultural and Environmental Sciences

and Ohio Farm Bureau 4-H Center |

| A capital
campaign, to build a 4-H Center on The Ohio State University
campus in Columbus, has reached 70% of goal. To date,
$8.5 million has been raised in gifts and pledges, including
a combined pledge of $6 million from the Nationwide Insurance
Foundation and the Ohio Farm Bureau Federation, for whom
the Center was named on September 7, 2002, during a ceremonial
ground breaking. |
The Olentangy River Wetland
Research and Education Building |

| Designed to strengthen
and consolidate existing teaching, research and service
activities, this new facility will feature an operations
theatre for real-time data collection, a sample preparation
room, laboratories, a research library, a conference room
and office space, and a lobby for displays. Fund raising
has reached 80% of goal. |

support and encourage positive, creative work environments
for students, faculty and staff. To provide outreach
to our external audiences, which includes gatherings for
all members of the commodity groups such as pork, corn,
soybeans, etc. To encourage and promote student organizations.

Endowed Chair and Program Fund for
Teaching and Learning |

| Focusing on the nature
of undergraduate students and their learning preferences
this chair will fund research which will culminate in
recommendations about the teaching and advising practices
that are best for students. Information will be shared
with faculty university-wide. In addition, Dr. Newcomb
will conduct faculty teaching and advising workshops.
Fund raising is 50% of goal. |
