Quality
of Academics - CFAES is all about hands-on learning
for its students. Where else can you stick your arm into a
cow's rumen while it's eating or learn how to form a simple
rod of metal into a work of steel art? Anything you want to
learn more about and accomplish during your college career
is possible with OSU!
Advice
for Transfer students - Transferring into a new
college can be exciting, scary, and nerve wracking all at
the same time. Though your first year in college is gone,
the same rules of a freshman apply to transfer students -
be open-minded, experience as many things as you can your
first year, and get to know new people. You never know what
you might learn about yourself!
Why
OSU - Thought an awesome football team may entice
your curiosity, OSU has so much more to offer than just athletics.
Caring professors, diverse course selections, campus-wide
evening and weekend activities, and unique study abroad opportunities
are just a handful of the many things possible with Ohio State
. 58,000 students can't be wrong!
Size
of OSU - Coming from a small community college to
the large campus of OSU, I never thought I would get use to
its size not only in people but in the campus itself. By getting
involved in campus-wide events, traditions, and finding my
place in CFAES, though, the large numbers now seem more like
a positive aspect of OSU than a negative.
Getting
Involved - Don't let the name of a club or activity
instantly reduce your interest in it. Go to different meetings,
socialize with people you don't know, eat all the free food
you want, and narrow it down from there. College is all about
discovering and you never know when or where you'll find something
you enjoy being a part of.
