Ashley Lepper is an Animal Sciences/Pre-Vet major from Genoa, OH.  Ashley has become active in Saddle and Sirloin.  This past year she also served as the FFA District 1 President and has worked as a ZooTeen at the Toledo Zoo.

What Ashley has to say:

Size of OSU:  When I first came to OSU I was so afraid that it was so big and that I would get lost.  That through changed once I became adjusted and realized it is only as big as you make it.  It also helps that CFAES is so personable and separate from the main campus.

Quality of Academics:  The classes here are challenging and stimulating.  They cover such a broad range of topics and there is something for everyone.

Advice for Freshmen:  The most important thing that a freshman can do is get involved.  Meet people in the dorms and become active in student organizations.  This will allow for the building of friendships.  It also helps with getting over the fear of being away from home.

Why OSU?  OSU is the only school in Ohio that has a College of Veterinary Medicine, but what really caught my attention was the CFAES.  I enjoy the smaller classes and the living-learning program.  OSU also has an organization or class for any interest.

Getting involved:  Getting involved is the most important thing to do at college.  It allows for you to meet new people and break out of you comfort zone.  I strongly recommend it because that is the only way you are going to find out your strengths, weaknesses, and interests.
