Co-Curricular Educational Programs

Co-curricular educational programs offer undergraduates in Animal Sciences a unique opportunity to represent their department and university in intercollegiate competition while enhancing their academic program. Students in these programs learn much about subject matter but also, and possibly more importantly, learn to gather and analyze information, make decisions and communicate the reasons for their decisions. Students will meet many industry leaders and gain much from interstate travel associated with these programs.

Equine Selection and Evaluation Team . Students on this team evaluate conformation and performance events for horses.  The team competes in several intercollegiate contests throughout the year.  The number of team members varies.  Many participants take advantage of the training and experience to begin judging 4-H and open horse shows in Ohio and surrounding states.  Contact Ms. Amber Moffett for more information.
