OSU
Extension Roles and Responsibilies-
Presentation from the Disaster Inservice
For
an emergency that has been declared locally or at the state
level, OSU Extension can play a supportive role in many emergency
situations. For OSU county-level staff, consultation should
occur with the Local Emergency Planning Committee (LEPC) or
local Emergency Planning Agency to identify expected roles
and responsibilities during emergency situations. This dialogue
should begin well in advance of a potential emergency. OSU
county-staff should also consult with county-level Farm Services
Agency offices to identify Extension roles of all program
areas on the County
Emergency Boards.
